Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company, has released a free iOS app for ChatGPT alternative, Claude. The company made the announcement on its blog, alongside the introduction of a new Teams plan, which is a paid subscription offering enhanced safety, privacy features, and collaborative capabilities.
In a comparison conducted by Anthropic, the lightweight Claude Haiku, medium Claude Sonnet, and powerful Claude Opus models performed similarly to GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 on common benchmarks. Notably, Claude Sonnet, which is available in the free plan and now accessible on iOS, outperformed GPT-3.5 in all benchmarks.
The Claude Pro subscription, priced at $20, provides access to Anthropic’s most powerful model, Claude Opus. The iOS app offers features such as cross-platform syncing between mobile and desktop, as well as vision capabilities that enable the understanding, analysis, and contextualization of shared images.
